I sometimes (rarely) post paid advertisements here. When I do, I follow this policy:

• I only accept advertising that I think will be relevant to my readers. I’ll never post something irrelevant, or annoying.
• I’ll always call out the fact that something is a paid advertisement with the phrase “This is a paid advertisement” and a link back to this page.
• I’ll clearly mark what portions of the ad were written by me — usually an introduction of some sort — and which portions were written by the advertiser. I’ll probably edit the advertisement to match my own grammar and style standards; if I’ve done so, I’ll indicate that, as well.
• I don’t allow comments on advertisements; too many potential conflicts of interest there. Please feel free to send me feedback on advertisements via email, though.
