Subject: I would like to offer free SEO for the djangoproject.com

Hi Jacob,

I would like to offer my SEO services free of charge for the djangoproject and in return to have a link from the djangoproject.com web page to my own site.

1. I Would like to contribute free SEO advice to the project ( could write a paper on SEO techniques).

2. To get djangoproject on page 1 of Google for the terms: Web applications & Web developers.

What you do is hurting the Internet. Please stop.

#2 on Google for Web Applications...

I think what is hidden in his message tells it all
"… and in return to have a link from the djangoproject.com web page to my own site."
Obviously he knows the site is already where it needs to be but wants to piggyback the rankings for his own benefit.

monk.e.boy:

lol, SEO makes money - accept it and move on. Yes it destroys the web, but I also guess you like being number one in google for the term 'django', so you also contribute :)

Josh #2:

Their web site is so bad it's funny.

Michael Lisse:

Jacob - I am trying to solve this very problem, and would appreciate 5 minutes of your time to explain. Can you contact me at michael at [link redacted -JKM] and let me know how to reach you (or allow me to reply with my phone number)?

Thanks.

Jacob Kaplan-Moss:

Michael: my email should be easy to figure out; send me an email. I'll warn you, though: you left a comment linking -- twice -- to a company advertising SEO services. I'm going to assume I can't trust you; the onus will be on you to prove otherwise.

Neum Schmickrath:

Just wanted to point out that this has nothing to do with SEO. Its just the latest thing since pharmaceuticals that spammers have found they could make money on. If they were truly good at what they claim they do, they would never need to resort to SPAM to find a customer. The customers would find them. The irony.
