Work for me!

Are you looking for an awesome web development gig? Then you should come work for me at Revsys. We’re hiring a full-time Python/Django developer.

Update:

The position’s been filled. That said, we’re continuing to expand, so if you’re an awesome Python/Django developer and want to work with us, get in touch anyway. For the right person we’d create a position.

Revsys is a consulting and services business built around Django; we specialize in scalability and real-world deployment concerns. In practice this means we get to see all sorts of awesome, atypical, large-scale uses of Django. Our clients include some of the largest users of Python and Django in the world.

Job opportunity: engineer at Whiskey Media

This is a paid advertisement.

My friends and former co-workers at Whiskey Media are looking for a developer to join their team. I can’t possible say enough good things about Whiskey Media: it’s a smart, well-run company that’s using cool tech to accomplish great things.

I worked for Whiskey Media for about a year, and they’re one of my clients at Revolution Systems. I’m happy to answer questions about the company; feel free to drop me an email. I’m also happy to make personal introductions for people I know, which I’m sure would give you a leg up among candidates. Just ask!

Wanted: kick-ass sysadmin

Wanted: kick-ass sysadmin

Update:

The position has been filled. Thanks to all who applied.

A quick note: we’re currently hiring a sysadmin to join us here at World Online. The complete job details are behind that link, so I’ll just point a few of the coolest aspects of the job:

  • We’ve got of the coolest and smartest teams around. There’s an awesome group of people here: Jeff, James, Nathan, and Matt are the ones who are geeky enough to have blogs, but the rest of the team is equally cool. We have a hell of a good time every day.
  • We’re planning some awesome things in the hosted-services arena, so one of the first things you’d get to do would be to buy a whole truckload of hardware and build a new server room.
  • You get to live in Lawrence. I know, most people don’t think living in Kansas is a perk, but trust me — Lawrence is outstanding. In the next month or the North Mississippi All Stars, Calexico, Art Brut, David Sedaris, Ani Difranco, Victor Wooten, and Spearhead all are coming to town.

So, if you’ve got the skills, read the complete posting and then drop me a line. We’re super-pumped about hiring an admin, and we can’t wait to find the right person.
